The Las Vegas Raiders face the Los Angeles Chargers in a Week 9 matchup, here are 3 things to watch in the AFC West showdown.

The Las Vegas Raiders are riding high after a tough road win against the Cleveland Browns in brutal weather conditions and have a date with the Los Angeles Chargers up next. There won’t be any snow or bitter cold in LA this weekend for the Raiders to overcome but they will have a feisty opponent that is better than their record suggests on their hands.

The Chargers are 2-5 and all but one of their games, a 39-29 win over Jacksonville, have been one-score games. They have lost five games this season by a total of 19 points and have lost 3 straight games in which they have led by 17 points, making them the first team in NFL history to do so.

It is truly remarkable that they have found so many ways to lose close games and it is a testament to how hard it can be to close out games in the NFL, especially for team with young players at so many key positions. Despite their tendency to lose close games, the Chargers are a formidable opponent that can pose lots of problems for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Let’s take a look at 3 things to watch in the Week 9 matchup.
