Running Backs

Josh Jacobs – Start ‘Em

Please forgive us as we told you to sit Josh Jacobs last week against the Browns when he ended up having his first 100-yard game of the season. We did put in the caveat that the wild weather could end up seeing the Raiders pound the ball with Jacobs and that is exactly what they did to the tune of 31 carries for 128 yards.

It was an old school performance from Jacobs as he punished the Browns defense with every carry and made sure they felt his presence with every hit. The only blemish on the day for Jacobs was that he didn’t score a touchdown though he was given a few chances to do so late in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders were stuffed on the goal line and Jacobs was prevented from scoring a touchdown that would have put him in the top 5 of running back fantasy performances in Week 8. He was still in the top 15 and faces a defense that is 12th in rushing yards allowed so far this season.

The Chargers are usually ahead in their games so it makes sense for teams to abandon the run but they are 27th in yards per rush attempt so the holes are there. If the game is close or if the Raiders pull away early he should have his second 100-yard game of the season.

Devontae Booker – Sit ‘Em

Devontae Booker continues to excel as the Raiders’ backup running back so keep an eye on him as a handcuff to Jacobs just in case.

Jalen Richard – Sit ‘Em

Jalen Richard made a few cameo appearances but is still a non-factor. We are still waiting for the game where the Raiders unleash him in the passing game but it just hasn’t happened yet.
