Wide Receivers

Henry Ruggs – Start ‘Em

Henry Ruggs was a nonfactor on Sunday thanks to the weather but his performance would have been solid if his touchdown was not taken off the board by some incompetent refereeing. Ruggs had 4 targets in the game including a deep shot that was blown away by the wind but that should not be an issue this week.

As usual he is a boom or bust player but if the Raiders were serious about increasing his targets than we could see a big week from him against the Chargers. They are 21st in points given up to receivers but give up plenty of yards through the air. Roll the dice with Ruggs and he should come through in the controlled conditions of Sofi Stadium.

Bryan Edwards – Sit ‘Em

Bryan Edwards was questionable for Week 8 and has been limited this week in practice so the upside is that he is making his way back to the field. The question is will the Raiders start him after they’ve seen how well Nelson Agholor is playing? The prudent thing to do would be to bring him back slowly and either way he is took risky of a play until we know what his role will be.

Hunter Renfrow – Start ‘Em

Hunter Renfrow had the best week out of the Raiders receivers thanks to his touchdown at the goal line and perhaps deserves the start in PPR leagues at this point given all the targets he is getting. He has just one game with over 60 yards receiving but has 4 games with at least 4 catches so if youre in a full point PPR league he could be worth the gamble.

Nelson Agholor – Start ‘Em

Nelson Agholor put up a donut in Week 8 but through no fault of his own. When your QB can’t throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield because of the wind it’s going to be hard to make any real impact as a receiver.

The veteran receiver continues to be Derek Carr’s favorite receiver target and should be starting in most leagues when the Raiders are not playing in an ice storm. Expect a bounce back week from Agholor against the Chargers secondary.
