4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the LA Chargers in Week 9

The Raiders weapons are healthy

For the first time since the opening game of the 2020 season the Raiders should have their full cadre of weapons available in Week 9 against the Chargers. Josh Jacobs practiced in full on Wednesday but did not practice on Thursday but that could be down to giving the player a rest after his heavy workload on Sunday.

We have not seen anything that suggests he will be out but we should keep an eye on that development.

Henry Ruggs has been healthy since he missed some time earlier in the year and there were no other offensive skill position players listed on the injury report other than WR Bryan Edwards. The rookie receiver was questionable last week and did not play but looks on track to return to the lineup after practicing in full on Thursday.

Edwards has been out for most of the season so far and may have lost his starting spot to Nelson Agholor but his return would give the Raiders passing attack another weapon to lean on against a struggling Chargers pass defense. They are currently giving up 251.7 pass yards per game and are in the bottom ten of the NFL in that category.

Derek Carr will finally have his full arsenal of weapons against a defense that has been easy to penetrate in recent weeks, especially in the passing game. We can expect big things from Carr and the rest of the offense now that just about everyone is back and healthy.
