Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers: 3 bold predictions in Week 9
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders will head to LaLa Land to take on the Chargers on Sunday, and here are three bold predictions for the AFC West battle.
Coming off a huge road victory against the Cleveland Browns, the Las Vegas Raiders will look to make it two in a row against division rival Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. The Chargers lost a heart-breaker to the Denver Broncos last weekend, blowing a big lead late, and have only two wins to their credit this season.
As we inch closer to kickoff between these two AFC West foes, here are three bold predictions for Sunday’s AFC West matchup.
Derek Carr tosses four touchdowns
The 2020 season has been a big one for Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, who has silenced a lot of his doubters through the first seven games of the season. He has beaten the Kansas City Chiefs on the road, went East and won in cold weather, and has even started making some plays with his legs.
All of this has totaled up to him playing at an MVP level, and the hope is that with a softer schedule in the second half of the year, he can continue that pace and lead this team to the playoffs. On Sunday, he is playing against a Los Angeles Chargers secondary that has traded away Desmond King, and a front that could be without Joey Bosa, so there is good reason to believe he drops four touchdowns on his division rival.
