Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers: 3 bold predictions in Week 9
Defense forces 3 turnovers
Last weekend, the Raiders got a tremendous effort from their defense, as they held the Cleveland Browns to six points, and kept them out of the end zone. On Sunday, they will be playing a Chargers offense that has the capability of putting up points in bunches, but they also have shown to be turnover-prone.
Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert has done a fantastic job since taking over under center, and has three 300-yard games to his credit already. In addition, he has tossed at least three touchdowns in his last four games, and is not afraid to take shots downfield.
While Herbert is likely to get his yards on Sunday, and a few touchdown passes, he is also going to turn the ball over. The Raiders defense should be getting Damon Arnette back at cornerback, and after seeing the impact Johnathan Abram made in his return in Week 8, the secondary should be very opportunistic in this one.
In addition, the Chargers have lost four fumbles this season, and Herbert has an interception in all but two games this season, so expect a few turnovers in this one.
