4 Los Angeles Chargers the Las Vegas Raiders should worry about in Week 9
Chargers Tight Ends
For the past decade, one thing has been consistent with the Raiders, and that is their defensive play vs tight ends. This week, as the Raiders face the Chargers, they will be tasked with facing Hunter Henry, Virgil Green and Donald Parham, all tight ends who are solid route runners with the ability to catch the ball downfield.
While in man coverage, Raiders linebacker Cory Littleton fares well, however, when the Raiders switch to zone, passing lanes tend to open leaving the defense exposed and prone to allowing opposing teams absurd yardage. If the Raiders are to contain the passing game, they must stop the Chargers tight ends and limit mistakes in the passing game.
A win on Sunday would enable the team to move to 2-0 in the division, and already have wins on the road against both the Chargers, and the Kansas City Chiefs in their back pocket. The Chargers have been hard-luck losers all season long, and the hope is that Las Vegas can get out to a big lead, and put them away without too much drama.
