Recapping AFC West 2020 Week 9: Raiders move to 5-3

Kansas City Chiefs beat the Carolina Panthers

The Kansas City Chiefs played host to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and had to thwart a 2-point conversion to hold them off.  The Chiefs started off slow, and went down double digits to the Panthers, who had stud running back Christian McCaffrey back for the first time since the beginning of the season.

The Panthers have played against this division well against the AFC West this season, as they lost close games to both the Raiders and Chiefs, and flat out beat the Chargers. On Sunday, it was Patrick Mahomes and the offense storming back with help from elite Tight End Travis Kelce and the speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Kansas City has a bye next week before flying to Las Vegas to face the Raiders and try to avenge their only loss of the season. With a win, the Chiefs move to 8-1 overall, and likely grab an insurmountable lead in the AFC West.
