The Schedule

Coming into the 2020 season, the beginning of the Raiders regular season slate looked daunting. In fact, as the season has played out, they have played teams that have gone into the game with at least a .500 record, and have had to go East three times already.

In those three East coast games was a matchup in Kansas City, a place that has been a house of horrors for Carr. No problem for No. 4 playing in Arrowhead this season, as he and the Raiders have given their division rival the only loss on their schedule, and Carr was a huge part of their success in that one.

In addition, the Raiders won a monster game in the cold in Cleveland, something people did not think Carr could do, and they also beat the New Orleans Saints, a team to beat in the NFC. This has been a rough schedule to open up 2020, and to be sitting at 5-3 at the midway point of the year is a testament to what Carr is doing this season.

Looking at the teams currently in line to make the playoffs in the AFC, the Raiders have the toughest strength of schedule. This guy has gone on the road and won big games, beat some of the better teams in the league, and has silenced most of his critics.

Now he just has to get this team to the playoffs.
