Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 10 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Tight Ends

Darren Waller – Start ‘Em

Darren Waller just can’t stop scoring touchdowns. The star tight end has already eclipsed his touchdown total from 2019 with four so far this season, and is on pace for another 90-100 catch campaign. His yardage totals have been surprisingly low as he has not topped 50 yards since Week 4 against Buffalo.

Waller has been Derek Carr’s safety valve and is averaging close to nine targets per game, and is scoring touchdowns but he has not broken loose for many big gains this year. Last season, he was averaging 12.7 yards per reception, but this season is just under eight, so the way he is being utilized has changed his statistics dramatically.

Regardless of the yardage totals, Waller has the volume that makes him a TE1, and he is currently the second highest-scoring tight end in PPR leagues, behind only Travis Kelce who always put up wide receiver-type numbers. Denver gives up the 12th fewest points to tight ends this season but Waller seems to be matchup proof especially when Henry Ruggs is in the lineup.

Jason Witten/Foster Moreau – Sit ‘Em

One catch for zero yards typifies Jason Witten’s season for the Raiders, and it is still a shame that he is getting more snaps than Foster Moreau. The young tight end has disappeared from the game plan this year after a great rookie season and there is no reason he should be getting just 10-15 snaps a game.
