4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Denver Broncos in Week 10

The Raiders have a better quarterback

In most games in this era of the NFL, the team with the better quarterback usually wins the game. It’s not about which quarterback puts up the bigger numbers, but rather which quarterback comes through when his team needs him the most and which one does not. The exception to this rule is when a team has a dominant defense but in a roundabout way the theory still holds up as that defense can neutralize even the best QB with enough pressure.

In the games the Raiders have lost this year, Derek Carr put up solid numbers but there were moments when he just couldn’t the job done due to a number of factors, some of which were out of his control. On Sunday, Carr will face off against a QB in Drew Lock who is still experiencing the growing pains that come with being a young QB in the NFL.

Lock is feeling the difficulties of not having his best weapon, after Sutton went down, and the pain of defenses learning your tendencies after having enough tape on you. The second year QB is also having some accuracy issues that could be a result of having a new cast of receivers around him, but is also turning the ball over nearly once per game.

The Raiders will have to confuse this young QB and try to force him into mistakes if they are to win this game, and if Lock’s performances the last few weeks have been any indication, that should be doable. Nothing comes easy with a defense that is struggling as much as Las Vegas’s, but Lock may make their jobs a little easier.
