4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Denver Broncos in Week 10

The Broncos don’t have a dominant wide receiver

Last week, the Raiders were absolutely shredded by the Chargers’ dynamic duo at wide receiver in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams to the tune of 14 catches, 184 yards, and a touchdown combined. The Chargers receivers ran wild in the Las Vegas secondary, and the Raiders had great difficulty stopping them, especially after losing starting CB Trayvon Mullen.

This week, the Raiders will be facing a different duo of receiver in Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick, who can pose their own difficulties with their combination of size and speed but are nowhere as accomplished or as good as either Chargers receiver. Allen in particular has always given the Raiders fits, and is comfortably one of the best 5-7 receivers in the NFL, so there is no shame in him putting up big numbers but getting beat by Jeudy or Patrick is a different story.

The Broncos best weapon is TE Noah Fant, and he presents yet another challenge after the team did an effective job against Hunter Henry last week. The lack of a dominant wide receiver should allow the Raiders to focus on slowing down Fant, and letting their young cornerbacks cover Denver’s outside weapons one on one.

This is not to say that it will be an easy task slowing down Denver’s weapons, but it should be easier to cover Jeudy and Patrick than it was to cover Allen and Williams.
