2021 NFL Mock Draft: Las Vegas Raiders continue to bolster defense

Washington Commanders. Zach Wilson. 5. player. 58. . Quarterback

Washington badly needs a quarterback after missing on Dwyane Haskins, and they have a few options this early in the draft. Although most lists will have Trey Lance going here, I believe Zach Wilson will climb up draft boards as the season goes on, and there is a good chance he ends up in Washington.

player. 13. . Cornerback. Los Angeles Chargers. Patrick Surtain II. 6

After trading Desmond King got traded away to the Tennessee Titans, the Chargers need to find a corner to replace him. The Chargers are just a few pieces away from being a playoff contender, and pairing Patrick Surtain II with Casey Hayward would move them closer to getting there.

7. player. 59. . Edge. Miami Dolphins. Kwity Paye

The Dolphins use the first of their first round picks on arguably the best edge rusher in the draft, Kwity Paye from Michigan. The Dolphins are an up and coming team, but still have a lot of holes to fill, and an elite pass rusher would take their defense to a new level.

56. . Offensive Lineman. Cincinnati Bengals. Alex Leatherwood. 8. player

The Bengals clearly have made an upgrade with Joe Burrow, as the team is on the rise and looks to step out of the bottom ranks of the league. The most important thing for the team moving forward is protecting Joe Burrow, as he is always trying to avoid pressure, and a versatile offensive lineman like Alex Leatherwood from Alabama does just that.
