2021 NFL Mock Draft: Las Vegas Raiders continue to bolster defense

9. player. 87. . Linebacker. Carolina Panthers. Micah Parsons

The Panthers still need to make up for the loss of Luke Kuechly, as the Panthers selected Derrick Brown last season over Isaiah Simmons. The Panthers have a great, young pass rush, but they lack a presence in the middle of the field. Micah Parsons is the best linebacker in the draft, and is a player that could turn the Panthers defense around.

. Cornerback. Atlanta Falcons. Caleb Farley. 10. player. 44

Caleb Farley has been the consensus pick for the Atlanta Falcons among mock drafts around the internet, and for good reason. The Falcons secondary has struggled this year, and pairing Farley with rookie AJ Terrell could lead to a good future for the Falcons defense, especially in the pass-happy NFC South.

player. 50. . Edge. Detroit Lions. Gregory Rousseau. 11

Although the Detroit Lions recently added Everson Griffen, they still could use help in the pass rush, even though they do have other needs all over the field. Gregory Rousseau from Miami (FL) could arguably be the best pass rusher in the class, and would make an immediate impact on the Lions defense, one that struggles mightily at times.

player. 60. . Quarterback. Minnesota Vikings. Trey Lance. 12

Trey Lance slips a bit in the draft because of the surprise Zach Wilson pick, and the Minnesota Vikings are happy to take the athletic quarterback out of North Dakota State. Lance is going to have a ton of hype coming into the draft, but the lack of competition could scare some teams, landing in the Vikings lap at pick No. 12.
