2021 NFL Mock Draft: Las Vegas Raiders continue to bolster defense

49. . Cornerback. Green Bay Packers. Asante Samuel Jr.. 29. player

The Green Bay Packers defense has been solid this far into the season, but it has been inconsistent, giving up a lot of points to the Bucs, Vikings, and Saints. Asante Samuel Jr gives the Packers a slight upgrade at cornerback, giving them their defense the boost to come away with stops in big games, something they will need if they want to get Aaron Rodgers another title.

Christian Barmore. 30. player. 124. . Defensive Tackle. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have struggled in two areas this season; pass rush and run defense. Christian Barmore, the 6’5 310 pound defensive lineman out of Alabama will be able to give the Chiefs a boost in both of these categories, and will be able to play at a high level right away in the NFL.

Travis Moehring. 31. player. 15. . Safety. New Orleans Saints

Unless the New Orleans Saints are looking to grab a quarterback to develop under Drew Brees, they should be looking to improve their defense. They have been improving as the season goes on, but there have been a few games where they give up a ton of points, and Drew Brees cannot win the shootouts like he used to. The Saints get the second-best safety in the draft with Trevon Moehring.

player. 55. . Offensive Lineman. Pittsburgh Steelers. Trey Smith. 32

The Pittsburgh Steelers look good just about everywhere, but their offensive line is ageing and risky to injury. If the Steelers plan on having Big Ben continue to play at a high level, they have to be able to protect him, even if one of their best lineman go down. Trey Smith from Tennessee is a versatile lineman who can play up and down the line.
