Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos banged up heading into matchup
Both teams having issues along offensive line
The issues for the Raiders along the offensive line have been well documented, and they are something this team has been dealing with all season long. Richie Incognito was hurt early on, and Trent Brown has had a rough go in terms of his health as well, dealing with COVID-19 among other things.
Last week, Kolton Miller did not play, ending his 39 game streak, and he is doubtful to play against Denver on Sunday. That means the Raiders will once again rely on Brandon Parker to continue his solid play, and hope that Sam Young can get through four quarters without having to come out with another injury.
There is a real possibility that the Raiders could trot out four backups along the offensive line, with only Rodney Hudson starter who is guaranteed to play. Offensive line coach Tom Cable has done a tremendous job this season navigating injuries, but he will need to pull off a miracle if four starters are out Sunday.
Denver also has their issues up front, as offensive tackles Jake Rodgers and Demar Dotson are both questionable in this one. The advantage for Las Vegas, if there are players out for both teams, is that Derek Carr has been playing behind a makeshift line all season long, and should be able to outduel the young Drew Lock if it becomes which quarterback can lead his team to the victory.
