Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Things we learned in Week 10
The Defense is slowly improving.
The Raiders defense has been a train wreck for a decade now. No matter who the players are, or the coaches are, the defense always seem to struggle. Even when Khalil Mack was here the defense wasn’t good we just had a dominant defensive players that could help other players make plays, and that’s what this Raiders defense is missing.
The Raiders defensive line was harassing Drew Lock for most of the game, and really seemed to take the recent criticism of them personally, as most of them ended up having pretty good games, and Nassib grabbed one of Lock’s four interceptions. It wasn’t just bad throws or decisions made by Lock that they got those picks, the defensive pressure caused him to be skittish in the pocket and make those mistakes.
That’s what this defense needs to do more, attack not just be reactionary, and they’re going to need to play another game of their lives next week when the Chiefs come to town.
Raider Nation has been a very patient fan base when it comes to wins and losses no matter if they are 10-0 or 0-10, Raider Nation will show up in full force in rain, sleet or snow. This year’s Raiders are a good football team, and it is a testament to them finally committed themselves to continuity and believed in the program they were building.
The Raiders head into Week 11 with a 6-3 record, a 3-0 division record and a chance to sweep the Chiefs on their home turf. When was the last time we were able to say those words? Most of these players are young and will hopefully be around for a while I personally hope they do because I haven’t had this much fun watching a team since 2016 and that far too long a wait.
