Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Raiders to watch in Week 11

Derek Carr

Derek Carr has been lights out this year, flourishing in Gruden’s offense now that he has very talented weapons around him. He’s thrown for 2200 yards, 16 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He is top-10 in both QBR and Raw Quarterback Rating, while also being top-5 in both completion percentage and passer rating.

Last time these two teams faced off Carr put the team on his back, leading them to a 40-32 victory in Arrowhead. He threw for 347 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the Week 5 win, proving he can not only beat the Chiefs, but he can beat them in Arrowhead.

As mentioned earlier, the running game didn’t quite do what was expected going into the game, and that’s why Carr stepped up and threw for his season best in yards and passer rating.

Hopefully the Raiders can get the running game going early and often in this second go around vs. the Chiefs. If they can be more of a balanced offense, Carr won’t have to have a lights out performance like he did last time.

None the less, we’ve seen that he can if needed and having his receiving unit at full force with Bryan Edwards back will make all the difference in the world in forcing this defense to worry about multiple threats. Hopefully we can see a repeat game from Henry Ruggs III as well, as Gruden attempts to incorporate him more into the offense going forward.
