Raiders: Four teams to root for in Week 12 as playoff race heats up
New York Jets
Adam Gase and the New York Jets are the worst team in football, have not won a game this season, and are currently in line to get Clemson star Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. On Sunday, they will play host to the Miami Dolphins inside an empty MetLife Stadium, and have actually been playing a better brand of football as of late.
The Dolphins are behind the Raiders right now, and have a bit of controversy going on, as Brian Flores benched Tua Tagovailoa this past weekend against Denver. Benching a young quarterback can do a number on their psyche moving forward, so that is definitely something to keep an eye on as Tua takes on division rival New York this weekend.
The likelihood is that both Tua and the Dolphins get right against this Jets team, who actually hung in there with the Los Angeles Chargers this past weekend. Could the Jets get win No. 1 against Miami? Not likely, but that does not mean Raider Nation should not cheer on good old Joe Flacco and company in Week 12.
