Running Back Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs had hit what some would call a sophomore slump early in the season, but in actuality, he was playing through a few nagging injuries. To help Jacobs regain his strength, and return to his rookie year form, the Raiders enlisted Devonte Booker to share the load.
As Jacobs began to reach full strength, he once again showed Raiders fans, and the league, why he is one of the top backs in the NFL. From the moment Jacobs touched the field in a Raiders uniform it was evident he was a special player, now, in his second year, he is re-writing the franchise’s record book.
Going down the stretch, it is going to be imperative that Jacobs continue to be the focal point of this Raiders offense. They have a legitimate opportunity to return to the playoffs for only the second time since the 2002 NFL season, and the drafting of Jacobs two years ago is a big reason why the franchise is trending in the right direction.
