Grading the Las Vegas Raiders rookie performances in 2020 Week 11

Henry Ruggs, WR

Jon Gruden and Greg Olson have not been able to work Henry Ruggs into the Raiders offense as much as one would like for a player that was drafted 12th overall. Sunday night, he finished the day with a single reception for 5=five yards on a single target, as well as a lone rush on an end-around that went for 12 yards.

Not much production of course, but throughout the season, he has been a decoy that defenses have to focus attention on as he is always a threat to make chunk plays even if it is only one in a game.

On Derek Carr’s touchdown pass to Darren Waller, while it was 17-21 in the 4th quarter, Ruggs was being doubled in the corner of the endzone which put less attention on the tight end who was wide open on the other side. So, despite the lack of volume in touches, he has had some value, and that was the case Sunday night as well. That isn’t to say the lack of production isn’t somewhat concerning, however.
