4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12

The Falcons can’t protect Matt Ryan

The Raiders pass rush has struggled to record sacks this season but they are among the best in the league in the hurries category. They have the unfortunate luck of playing against several mobile QBs like Josh Allen, Cam Newton, and most recently Patrick Mahomes so those hurries don’t always lead to sacks but they may find success against the statuesque Matt Ryan.

Atlanta have allowed Ryan to be sacked 27 times, tied for 7th most in the NFL with three other times and none of them are any good. In fact the only team in the bottom 10 in sacks allowed over .500 is Seattle and that is an outlier thanks to Russell Wilson’s desire to keep plays alive which sometimes leads to sacks for the other team. The Falcons allow a sack on 6.5% of their passing plays which is the 12th most in the NFL so the Raiders pass rushers should find success against this offensive line.

The Raiders have not gotten to the QB all that much but against teams that allow pressure like the Chargers and Broncos they were able to get in the QB’s face and affect plays. Atlanta’s offensive line has allowed the 7th most pressures in the NFL this year and if the Raiders are able to continue that trend they should be able to slow down this dangerous passing offense.
