Las Vegas Raiders at Atlanta Falcons: Game preview and prediction

Game Prediction

The series history between these two franchises sits deadlocked at seven wins apiece, with the Falcons winning each of the last four contests. The last time they met up, back in 2016, the Falcons beat the Raiders by a score of 35-28, but after the loss, the Raiders would go on to win nine of their next ten games.

Sunday, I expect the Raiders to break the Falcons win streak against them, and break it in a big way. Las Vegas has played an incredibly tough slate this season and has beaten some very good teams, and while some feel this could be some kind of trap game, I do not see that happening at all.

Look for Carr to throw for 300-plus yards and a couple touchdowns in this one, and the Raiders pass rush to make some noise as well against a banged-up Falcons offensive line. I think Las Vegas gets out to an early lead, and keeps their feet on the gas throughout, beating the Falcons by two touchdowns, even despite going on the road and playing in the 10AM PT slot.

Prediction: Raiders 31, Falcons 17
