Las Vegas Raiders at Atlanta Falcons: 3 bold predictions in Week 12

Derek Carr throws for four scores

One big key for the 2020 Raiders has been the play of quarterback Derek Carr, who is playing the best football we have seen out of him in quite some time. In fact, he looks even better than the 2016 version of Carr, one that had the Silver and Black steamrolling towards the playoffs before a broken leg ended any chance for this team to do anything in the postseason.

This season, Carr is getting the job done with his arm, and his feet, and has complete control of Jon Gruden’s offense in Year No. 3. Las Vegas will be going up against a porous Atlanta secondary, which is widely regarded as one of the worst in the game, so Carr and his arsenal of weapons should have no problem lighting up the scoreboard.

In fact, I like Carr to set a season-high for touchdown passes in this one, tossing four touchdowns against this Atlanta defense. Carr should definitely be in the conversation of being the Most Valuable Player in the NFL this season, especially with all he has had to overcome upfront along the offensive line, and the early-season schedule, and he will make another statement in this one.
