Las Vegas Raiders at Atlanta Falcons: Studs and Duds from Week 12

Dud: The Offensive Line

The offensive line got utterly dominated in this game, and their deficiencies went a long way in the Raiders being absolutely trounced by Atlanta.  This line has been through a lot this season with injuries, being held out of practice for a week, and multiple players having to play different positions along the line, but they have consistently banded together to perform at a high level.

On Sunday, they were the opposite of dominant, and against a Falcons defense that was one of the worst in football, it was inexcusable. You can’t allow five sacks to a defense like the Falcons have, and only get 50 yards total on the ground and expect to come out with the victory.

Going forward, I expect the offensive line to play much better, and they have a soft landing spot this week against the winless New York Jets.

Next. Las Vegas Raiders have to prove this is not 2019 again. dark

The Raiders lost a bunch of ground in terms of the playoff race with the loss on Sunday, but the expectation is they will get back on track next Sunday. Las Vegas controls their own destiny, as they have matchups with the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts, two teams above them in the playoff race, still on the schedule. However, a win in MetLife is the No. 1 priority right now.
