The Las Vegas Raiders fell to 6-5 after an embarrassing loss to the Atlanta Falcons, bringing back memories of their collapse in 2019.
Well, that didn’t go as expected! The Las Vegas Raiders got absolutely smashed by the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12 and only managed to score six points to Atlanta’s 43. This result was eerily similar to the one last year when the also 6-4 Raiders lost to the Jets 34-3, I and was sent into a downward spiral they couldn’t recover from.
Now the Raiders find themselves at 6-5 facing a familiar foe in the New York Jets next week with 6-6 staring them directly in the face if they don’t get their act together.
I couldn’t wait until my next prediction post for Week 13 to give you guys my thoughts on this game. I have to take this one on the chin because I had the Raiders winning and covering this game.
Add in the over 53.5 and I went a whopping 0-for-3 in this game.
The Raiders continue to give me problems as I am now 5-6 in picking their games straight-up and an atrocious 2-9 in picking their spreads. The only team I am as bad at predicting is the Dolphins who I am also 2-9 in picking their spreads.
Though, Miami is actually worse for me than the Raiders because at least I’m 5-6 in straight-ups with Las Vegas whereas I’m 3-8 with the Fins. What troubles me the most about what we all just witnessed from the Raiders in Week 12 was that it was exactly the same as one year ago when they got blown out by the Jets.
It seems like history is repeating itself and not in a good way. If the Raiders lose to the Jets next week, this team is in monumental danger of blowing their 2020 season just as they did in 2019.
