Las Vegas 2021 3-round mock draft: Raiders steal OL in second round

. Edge/Linebacker. Longhorns . Joseph Ossai. 19. player. 851

We kick off this three-round 2021 NFL mock with a linebacker who is really rising up draft boards and should find himself in the first round next year. Texas’ Joseph Ossai is a high-motor guy who has tremendous instincts in terms of pass rush and would check off a lot of boxes on this Raiders defense.

Ossai is the kind of linebacker who loves to make plays in the backfield, and he currently leads the Big 12 in terms of tackles for a loss. He is widely considered an elite linebacker prospect, and if the Raiders do not get what they need from Cory Littleton this season, they could be looking to upgrade the linebacker spot once again.

Las Vegas needs to continue to stack pieces on their defense, and while they are getting better with all the new talent they have brought in, deficiencies still remain. They are awful at getting after the quarterback, so bringing in a guy who has this kind of skill set would help them not only at linebacker but also coming up in the box and getting after the quarterback.
