Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets: 3 things to watch in Week 13

Third down efficiency

Losing the turnover battle five-to-one is never a winning formula, but failing to convert on third downs makes the job that much more difficult. That was the case last week against Atlanta, where the Raiders converted just 3-of-12 third-down opportunities for a measly 25 percent.

When Las Vegas had the opportunity to move the chains, they simply could not get the job done and were forced off the field.

Against the Jets, it’s up to the offense to get themselves into short-yardage position on third downs. The Raiders were incredibly efficient early in the season, and the key was getting into short yard situations, thus being able to connect with Hunter Renfrow and moving the chains.

We’ve seen how efficient this offense can be and we’ve seen this offense go toe-to-toe with the best in the league. It’s up to this unit to get back to what we know they’re capable of, and when called upon, to move the chains and get to the endzone for six points.
