The Las Vegas Raiders suffered a tough loss at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons this past weekend, and here is how the rookies fared in the matchup.
For the second week in a row, the Las Vegas Raiders failed to secure a victory and match their win total from last season, suffering their worst loss since 2014 in a 43-6 blowout against the Atlanta Falcons. Going into the game fresh off a solid performance against rival Kansas City, the Raiders got punched in the mouth early and were never able to really get off the canvas.
The flat performance is worrying, as it seems the team may be going the same route as last year, where they started 6-4 but ended the last stretch of the season winning only a single game. Hopefully not, but the Falcons, like the New York Jets last season, were 3-7 going into this game, and it was a trip into east coast time that helped do the Raiders in.
Like last week, not many rookies saw playing time nor made much impact. This is a far cry from last season, where almost every rookie had a role and produced. Only three of the Raiders rookies of the 2020 class logged in snaps, with only one in wide receiver Henry Ruggs in for more than 50% of the snaps, which is who we will first be grading.
Here are the grades for the 2020 rookie class during the Atlanta game.
