Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets: Week 13 Preview and Prediction

Game Prediction

We all know the story of last season.  The Raiders had six wins and were playing pretty well despite the drama that happened in the offseason by the wide receiver that won’t be named.  They went into Metlife Stadium as a big favorite, were blown out by the Jets, and the rest of the season went to shambles.

Unfortunately for Raiders fans, last week seemed like deja vu because of the team’s record, and the record of the team they lost to. This is not the same team as last year’s though, as they have more pure talent, and Carr is playing at a higher level than he was last season.

I think Las Vegas wins this game and win this game big.  The Jets are in line for the No. 1 overall pick in 2021, and drafting Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawerence as long as they keep losing.  The Jets lose to playoff-caliber teams by an average of 19 points this season, so that’s the bar for the Raiders this weekend.

We all know the struggles this franchise has had in the early time slot on the East coast, not just in last week’s game, but for the past ten years. However, this is a game that Las Vegas simply just cannot lose. I believe Carr will bounce back and throw for a couple of touchdowns, Devontae Booker will have no problem filling in for Josh Jacobs, and the defense plays well in a blowout victory on the road.

Prediction: Raiders 35, Jets 14
