Las Vegas Raiders Fantasy Outlook: Week 13 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Running Backs

Josh Jacobs – Start ‘Em

This appears to be a consistent theme but Josh Jacobs had the worst day of his career against a Falcons defense that has been solid but not great against the run this season. Jacobs had just 27 rushing yards and 17 receiving yards but had a big catch waved off after he was penalized for lowering his head in to the defender. That penalty appeared to rattle Jacobs and the offense and they could never quite get on track after that.

Jacobs also had two fumbles on the day and lost one before leaving the game early with an ankle injury. That injury does not appear to be severe and he should be in line to play against the Jets on Sunday.

Depending on how the game goes this could give Jacobs owners some concern as Gruden may split the workload more evenly or perhaps lean more on Devontae Booker to protect Jacobs.

The first priority is to win the game so while the result is still in doubt we can expect plenty of action for Jacobs and he should be able to bounce back against a Jets team that is giving up the 9th most points to fantasy running backs this season.

Devontae Booker – Sit ‘Em (start in deep leagues)

There are a few signs that Devontae Booker could have a good game on Sunday and that depends on two things, if you believe the Raiders will blow out the Jets and how hurt Josh Jacobs is. If the game is out of reach for the Jets then Gruden could insert Booker in to the game and try to close it out the way he did against Denver.

If the game is close, Booker could still get plenty of touches if the Raiders are trying to protect Jacobs from further injury. Roll the dice if you are in a 12-14 team league and need a flex and it just may pay off.
