Las Vegas Raiders Fantasy Outlook: Week 13 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Tight Ends

Darren Waller – Start ‘Em

Darren Waller had a tough game on Sunday just like the rest of the Raiders offense and there were no garbage time heroics for him to pad his stats. Waller had just 4 catches for 23 yards and half of those numbers came in the last drive of the game for the Raiders when Nathan Peterman was running around trying to make some magic happen.

This is Waller’s fourth game of the season where he was held under 30 yards but he was targeted 7 times and drew a defensive pass interference so his involvement in the offense has not changed. He and Derek Carr were just not on the same page and the Falcons defense did their best to shut out the Raiders’ best receiving weapon.

The Jets give up the 10th most fantasy points to tight ends and if the Raider passing attack is going to bounce back it’s going to start off with the Carr-Waller connection. Waller is still on pace for over 90 catches but his yardage total might not break 800 unless he has a couple big games. He is still worth a start with all of the targets he is getting, especially in the red zone and at the goal line.

Jason Witten/Foster Moreau – Sit ‘Em

No catches and no targets for this duo as the Raider offense sputtered against Atlanta. No reason to keep these guys on your roster unless you’re expecting some goal line magic from Jason Witten.
