Las Vegas Raiders Fantasy Outlook: Week 13 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Defense and Special Teams

Daniel Carlson – Start ‘Em

Daniel Carlson keeps chugging along and was the only Raider to score on Sunday against Atlanta. His six points on Sunday were a season low as the Raiders’ offense struggled to even get in to Atlanta territory and even when they did, they turned the ball over and didn’t give Carlson a chance to put up some more points.

The Jets give up the most fantasy points to kickers this season and Carlson should be able to find success once again. The current forecast suggest it will be around 40 degrees with 15MPH winds on Sunday, but that should not impact his ability to bang through some field goals and hopefully some extra points.

Las Vegas Raiders Defense – Start ‘Em

The Las Vegas Raiders defense actually had a decent showing against the Falcons, who were without Todd Gurley and Julio Jones. They held the Falcons offense to just 16 points in the first half even with the offense turning the ball over twice but they could not hold out much longer once the Falcons went up 23-3.

This is an interesting week as the Jets have the lowest scoring offense in the NFL by more than 50 points and are averaging just under 14 points a game. The Raiders defense is not very good but if you need to take a chance on a streaming defense this could be a possibility.

The Jets give up the most points to fantasy defenses thanks to their inability to score consistently and middle of the pack turnover rate. Jets quarterbacks have also thrown three pick-sixes this year, so roll the dice with the Raiders and see what happens.
