Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the New York Jets in Week 13

Running Back Devontae Booker

With the news coming down on Friday that the Raiders’ defense would be without Johnathan Abram, it was also announced that the offense would be without one of their stars. Running back Josh Jacobs will miss the game against the Jets on Sunday, the second year in a row that he has missed games down the stretch for the Raiders.

Losing Jacobs leaves the Raiders without a player on their offense that was supposed to punish the Jets in Week 13, but luckily for the team, they have a backup who may do the same. When Devontae Booker was signed this offseason, nobody really batted an eye, but throughout the first 11 games of the season, he has been a perfect complement to Jacobs in the run game.

In Booker, the Raiders have a guy who can not only pound the ball and get short yardage, but also can make plays on the outside, and is a capable pass-catcher. He is as close to Jacobs as any back the Raiders have had since he became the lead back for the organization, and he should have himself a solid game against the Jets on Sunday.
