Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets: 3 bold predictions

Big game from Devontae Booker

Not only will the Raiders be without one of their biggest stars on the defensive side of the ball, but they also will be shorthanded on offense, as their top running back is out as well. Josh Jacobs suffered an ankle injury during the team’s loss against Atlanta, and he was ruled out for this contest on Friday as well.

In his place, the Raiders have a very capable backup in Devontae Booker, a player who has been a real pleasant surprise since the team signed him in the offseason. He runs with power, can make catches out of the backfield, and against this Jets defense, I believe the Raiders give him 20-plus carries.

Remember, the Jets defense is good at one thing, and that is stopping the run, but this Raiders offensive line should be able to create enough space for Booker to go off in this one. Las Vegas will need to establish the run before letting Carr loose on a terrible Jets secondary, and with the added workload, Booker goes for over 100 yards and two scores in this one.
