The Las Vegas Raiders came out on top after a wild game against the New York Jets and here are four things we learned for a much-needed win.
The Las Vegas Raiders almost had a repeat of their 2019 trip to Metlife Stadium, where they had their season derailed and came desperately close to experiencing yet another demoralizing defeat to the New York Jets. Thanks to some late-game heroics from Derek Carr, Henry Ruggs, and Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, the Raiders just barely came out on top and kept their playoff hopes alive.
The Raiders looked like they were in firm control of the game after going up 24-13 and forcing two three and outs for the Jets but a combination of poor execution and conservative decision-making kept the game much closer than it should have been. After hanging around in the third quarter, the Jets opened the fourth with a touchdown and two-point conversion to make it a three-point game.
The Raiders had a chance to score and take the air out of the Jets’ balloon but instead turned the ball over and let the Jets score a go-ahead touchdown which leads to the insane series of events that saw the Raiders win the game with just five seconds left. After this topsy-turvy game against an inferior opponent the Raiders will have to do a great deal of soul searching and so will we, so here are four things we learned from the win against the Jets.
