AFC West 2020 Week 13 Standings: Chiefs clinch playoffs

Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets

It’s hard being a Raiders fan.  They really should provide medical insurance for games just like this, as this game should’ve been easier for the Raiders, and shouldn’t have taken a bomb to Henry Ruggs III with 13 seconds left to take the lead and win the game against a team that hasn’t won a game all season.

The New York Jets bullied the Raiders on the offensive and defensive lines, as Derek Carr was under pressure most of the game, forcing a few bad throws. Despite the pressure, Carr went off, throwing for over 380 yards and three touchdowns, while also running one in for a score.

On the defensive side, Ty Johnson and Josh Adams combined for a total of 178 yards after taking over for Frank Gore, who left the game in the first quarter due to a Damon Arnette hit.

The Jets were much more physical than the Raiders in this game, and it showed in the second half, as they made a furious comeback and took the lead with a few minutes left in the game.  The Raiders turned it over on downs the possession after that and left the game up to a prayer shot with a few seconds left, and it worked.

The Jets brought an all-out blitz and Carr bought just enough time for Ruggs to get open for the game-winning 46-yard touchdown.

One player who really stood out in this game was Clelin Ferrell, a former fourth overall pick who had two strip sacks which turned into two turnovers for the Raiders, and a pass deflection to boot.
