Grading the Las Vegas Raiders rookie performances in 2020 Week 13
Damon Arnette
For the second game in a row, Damon Arnette left the game during the opposing team’s opening drive with a concussion. Last week, it was on the Falcons first play of the game, while this week, it was on the Jets second play, as Frank Gore gave him a welcome to the NFL.
On both plays it was in part due to the way he went in for the tackle. Instead of getting low around the waist areas, he launched too high against bigger, stronger, running backs, and wound up on the ground holding his head. Arnette definitely needs to bulk up and add strength during the offseason, but he also needs to work on technique.
This was a weird, shortened offseason, so I’ll give cut him some slack in that regard.
When it comes to yearly grades, availability for sure comes into account, but when evaluating only single performances, it makes no sense to do so.

Bryan Edwards
For the third week in a row, Bryan Edwards didn’t see much playing time. The South Carolina product was targeted once on 15 snaps and finished with an empty stat line. Edwards started the season on the outside, but ever since coming back from an ankle injury back in Week 3, the rookie has seen the field only sparingly.
