Indianapolis Colts at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Raiders to watch in Week 14

Clelin Ferrell

Much like Darren Waller, Clelin Ferrell had his own career-best game against the Jets recording his first two sacks of the season and forcing two fumbles.

However, just like Waller, the competition is going to ramp up big time against the Colts as they will be bringing one of the better offensive lines in the league into this game.

The Colts have only allowed 15 sacks this entire season which ranks third-best in the league and quarterback Philip Rivers has only been pressured on 14.8% of his dropbacks. This is will be a challenge not only for Ferrell but the entire defensive line. Despite last week’s success, the Raiders overall this season have still struggled to get to the quarterback and with the injuries in the secondary, they have to find a way to step up.

Ferrell hasn’t given much of an indication that performances like last week will become the norm, but it would be great if he could carry that momentum into this Sunday.

Philip Rivers in a clean pocket versus Philip Rivers under pressure are two completely different quarterbacks at this stage in his career. So, if Ferrell and the defensive line can move him off his spot, this will be huge in terms of increasing their chances to neutralize the Colts’ offense.

The Raiders will also need Ferrell to play well in the run game as Colts’ rookie Jonathan Taylor is averaging 90 yards per game the last two weeks.
