Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 14 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Running Backs

Josh Jacobs – Start ‘Em

Josh Jacobs missed the Jets game with an ankle injury and there were reports that he may miss this game as well but that has since changed, as the Raiders expect him back in the lineup. Jacobs has struggled recently, largely due to that injury, and he presents an intriguing question this week.

The Colts have given up the 13th fewest points to running backs and rank eighth in the NFL in rush yards given up per game. They have given up just 14 rushing touchdowns this season and four of those were by quarterbacks so running backs don’t score very often against them.

Despite that, Jacobs has had some big games this season against teams with good rush defenses like the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers so he’s worth a roll of the dice. The running back position around the NFL has been decimated by injury this season and if you have a workhorse like Jacobs on your team then you have to ride him to the end.

Devontae Booker – Sit ‘Em

Devontae Booker had his first opportunity to start for the Las Vegas Raiders against the Jets and unfortunately, he didn’t too much with his chance. Booker rushed for 50 yards on 16 carries and was bottled up by a Jets front that, to be fair, has been really good against the run this season.

Booker had a couple good games this season and has been an excellent backup to Josh Jacobs but unless the Raiders get up big and ride their backs to kill the clock we don’t think he will have much of an impact on this game. Keep him on your roster just in case for future weeks but don’t expect anything unless Jacobs is injured again.
