Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 14 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Wide Receivers

Henry Ruggs – Sit ‘Em

Henry Ruggs had his second-best game as a pro in Week 13, and that was largely due to one play at the end of the game. Ruggs caught 3-of-4 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown, but 49 of those yards and the score were on the Raiders’ final offensive play so he was in line to have a bad game before that.

That seems to be the story with Ruggs all season as he has big-play potential on every snap but is not getting the regular targets and enough touches to justify a start. If you feel like gambling and need a FLEX then take a chance on him breaking one loose against the Colts and their defense that is 20th in points allowed to fantasy receivers.

Hunter Renfrow – Sit ‘Em

Hunter Renfrow continues to be a steady presence in the Raiders offense as he had his sixth game of the season with 4 or more catches but he doesn’t get the yardage totals or touchdowns to be a starter in a standard league. If you are in a PPR and need a FLEX, you can plug Renfrow in and guarantee at least 7-10 points thanks to his target volume.

Renfrow is the opposite of Ruggs in that regard as he has a much lower ceiling but has a higher floor than the Alabama speedster because of how often he is targeted in the short passing game. The Colts are stingy with their pass defense but their pass rush could force Carr to hit his hot routes and operate in the short game so give Renfrow a chance if you need to but don’t expect a big day.

Nelson Agholor – Start ‘Em

Nelson Agholor has established himself as the Raiders number one receiver and with that comes the double edged sword of plenty of targets but also the focus of opposing defenses. Agholor has not topped 100 yards since Week 7, but he is putting up decent PPR stat lines like 5 for 54 or 4 for 38 so keep rolling with the veteran if he’s in your lineup.

By virtue of being that number one receiver and having the connection with Carr, Agholor is getting the targets to put up solid numbers and is due for a big day. As we have said, the Colts have a tough pass defense but Carr needs to throw the ball to someone and it has usually been Nelson Agholor this season.
