Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 14 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Defense and Special Teams

Daniel Carlson – Start ‘Em

Wind, rain, snow, or just plain cold weather doesn’t bother Daniel Carlson as he had another solid performance in Week 13 going 4 for 4 on extra points in some windy conditions in New Jersey. Carlson didn’t attempt a field goal against the Jets but still put up eight points to finish in the top-10 for the week.

The Colts don’t give up a lot of points to kickers because they just don’t give up many points but Carlson has been money at home and deserves a start once again. He has had at least eight points in 9 of the 12 games so far this season and we can expect more consistency from one of the best kickers in the AFC.

Las Vegas Raiders Defense – Sit ‘Em

We recommended the Raiders defense as a good streaming option against the turnover-happy New York Jets and they came through with a solid performance from a fantasy perspective. Giving up 28 points to the New York offense was inexcusable but they still had 3 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and an interception to put up a decent point total that put them in the top 10 for the week.

This week they face a very good Colts offense that is 10th in the NFL in points scored and is 22nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing defenses. Philip Rivers still throws interceptions at a decent rate and seems to have a special affinity for throwing picks to Erik Harris but you can’t bet your fantasy future on that. Keep them on the bench or waiver wire as a possible streamer against a Chargers team in Week 15 that appears to have given up on the season.
