3 Indianapolis Colts the Las Vegas Raiders should worry about in Week 14

Running Back Nyheim Hines

Going back to Ladian Tomlinson, Philip Rivers has always had a knack for getting the running backs the ball. After that incredible run with LT in San Diego, it was Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekler, and now it’s Nyheim Hines and Johnathan Taylor.

Hines is the one that should worry the Raiders defense more, since he’s the passing down back, and leads the Colts in receptions with 47. Frank Reich loves getting the running backs involved, and you can be certain he will do this against the linebackers the Raiders put out there on defense.

The young running back also has 384 yards and four touchdowns on the season, with 351 yards coming after the catch, while Rivers also has a 119 rating targeting him.

The Raiders’ defense will have their hands full dealing with the Colts backfield, but Hines is the clear pass-catching running back. I expect the offense to attack the linebackers early and often, as the Raiders have yet to prove they can use their linebackers to stop the passing game.

Cory Littleton hasn’t been the hype in the passing game, while Nick Kwiatkoski has been the best coverage linebacker and hasn’t played bad, but coverage remains an issue with the entire position group. I expect a big game from the Colts running backs, as the Raiders are looking to force Rivers to pass to the receivers.
