3 Indianapolis Colts the Las Vegas Raiders should worry about in Week 14

Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner

The Colts had one missing piece on the defense last year, and that was the interior defensive line. Chris Ballard made a move to trade their first-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for DeForest Buckner, and he’s made an immediate impact and has been one of the best pass rushers from the interior this season.

Buckner has played 564 snaps with 41 pressures and six sacks along with 14 hits on the season. The Raiders have given up plenty of sacks this year, and some have been the fault of Carr, but most have been the fault of the coverage and forcing the quarterback to hold onto the ball or scramble out of the pocket.

With Gabe Jackson coming off an injury, the Raiders need to contain Buckner and keep Carr clean to allow those plays to develop. They struggled to give Carr time against a lesser Jets defense this past weekend, but Trent Brown is returning, and that makes the entire offensive line better.

Still, Buckner is a force and must be accounted for on every play.
