4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14

Offensive Weapons

The Indianapolis Colts defense was one of the top defenses in the league last season and started this season off the same way.  They were shutting opponents down, causing turnovers, and putting up points themselves.  But for the past couple of weeks, the defense just hasn’t been the same.

Even though he didn’t throw for any touchdowns, Deshaun Watson still put up over 300 yards passing.  Three of the past four Colts opponents have scored at least 30 points, and the Texans were about to score a go-ahead touchdown before the fumble by Watson.

The Las Vegas Raiders have the weapons to put up points on any team, and we have seen them put up points in bunches all season long.  Nelson Agholor has been the most underrated signing in the entire league, Henry Ruggs III is not only the fastest player on the field at any given time, but also has great hands and catch radius, and tight end Darren Waller has been Carr’s most dependable weapon the last two seasons.

Waller is coming off a 200-yard two-touchdown game against the Jets, an explosive game, and he should have room to operate in this one as well. When you add to that the fact that Josh Jacobs is likely returning to the lineup in Week 14, there is no shortage of weapons for the Silver and Black in this one.

If the Raiders execute their game plan, there isn’t a defense in the world that could stop them for an entire game.  But if they get too conservative, like Gruden has done every time they’ve had a lead the past two seasons or the running game can’t get going once again, this will be a harder game to come from behind and win since this Colts defense is better than the Jets defense.
