AFC West 2020 Week 14 Recap: Chiefs win division title
Denver Broncos
This was the best game for the Denver Broncos offense and Drew Lock himself, as he had four touchdowns with 280 passing yards and no interceptions. They almost put together a complete game, but the Panthers ended up being able to make a game out of it.
The score ended up being 32-27, as the Broncos got outscored 17-7 in the fourth quarter, but were able to turn the Panthers over on downs on their last chance to win the game. It didn’t need to be as close as it was, but kicker Brandon McManus, who has been a reliable kicker with a booming leg, has struggled so far this season, and yesterday his struggles continued with two misses on extra points.
Rookie wideout KJ Hamler hauled in two touchdowns from Lock, who is trying to show John Elway that he belongs as the franchise quarterback in 2021 and beyond.
The Broncos and Chargers can play spoilers the rest of the way, as the Raiders play Los Angeles on Thursday, and then the Broncos in Week 17. For the Silver and Black to make the playoffs, they have to win out, but two divisional opponents will be looking to do anything they can to keep them out.
