AFC West 2020 Week 14 Recap: Chiefs win division title
Kansas City Chiefs
Not only are the Kansas City Chiefs the top team in the AFC West, but they are also officially the top team in the entire NFL once again after the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night. This was a game that Raider fans were very interested in, as the Silver and Black needed the Chiefs to win to help with the Wild Card chase.
The Miami Dolphins defense became the first team this year other than the Raiders to pick off Patrick Mahomes, and they did twice in the first quarter as they built a 10-0 lead on the back of a short passing game and a touchdown to tight end Mike Gesicki. The Chiefs took a little while to get their offense going, but once they did, they took the lead quickly.
Tyreek Hill scored twice to give the Chiefs a 14-10 lead, scoring in both the run and passing game. Hill then had a 44-yard touchdown in the third quarter, as the Chiefs started to put the Dolphins away, going up 30-10.
Things got interesting in the fourth, as the Chiefs only put up a field goal the rest of the way. Tua Tagovailoa ran for and threw a touchdown pass in the fourth to go along with a Jason Sanders field goal to make it a 33-27 game, but in the end, it was the Chiefs winning the game, the AFC West.
