3 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Chargers in Week 15

Home on Thursday night

Playing on Thursday night is never easy, as teams wrap up their Sunday games and only have a few days to prepare for their opponent. For the Raiders and Chargers, they did not practice on Monday, and with only two days left before the matchup, they will need to get their gameplans in line in a hurry.

Another disadvantage of playing on Thursday after a Sunday game is travel, and while the trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas is not a long one, it does play a factor. The fact that the Raiders were home this past week against the Indianapolis Colts also helps, as they were able to get at least a little more rest than their division rival.

Of course, Allegiant Stadium has not been kind to the Raiders in Year 1, but that will change next season when Raider Nation is actually allowed to invade it. For now, the Raiders will have to win two straight at home to stay in the playoff hunt, and being home on Thursday night, they have a decided advantage on a short week.
