The Las Vegas Raiders play host to the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night, and here are three reasons why they will move to 8-6.
With the Cleveland Browns losing on Monday night, the Las Vegas Raiders’ road to the playoffs got even tougher. Now, it looks like they are going to need a ton of help just to get into the postseason, and with the Los Angeles Chargers coming to town on a short week, they just need to take care of what they can take care of as they head into the final three games of the season.
Here is reason to believe that the Raiders win this game on Thursday night, and here are three reasons why they will keep their playoff hopes alive.
Justin Herbert struggling with interceptions
The Chargers have found a special quarterback in Justin Herbert, who is one of the favorites to take home the AFC’s Rookie of the Year honor this season. He has racked up yards at an incredible pace, but as is the case with all young signal-callers, he does make his mistakes, and the Raiders need to take advantage of that on Thursday night.
Johnathan Abram has looked like a liability more times than not this season, and not having Damon Arnette this past week hurt the Raiders’ secondary. Herbert has had his issues with the interceptions as of late, and if Las Vegas can finally get some pass rush on Thursday, they should be able to force him into a mistake or two that could turn this game on its head.
