Raiders running game goes for over 100 yards

The running game has been struggling for the past four games, as the highest single rushing total for a single player in that span is 55 yards by Josh Jacobs.  He did get injured in the Atlanta game and missed the Jets game in which Devontae Booker, who has played pretty well this year, struggled as the lead back.

Jacobs came back against the Colts and looked good early, but only had 49 yards, albeit against a good defense. His backup, Booker, mustered only eight yards on the ground, something that just cannot happen against this Chargers team on Thursday night.

No run game is not going to work for any team, let alone one that is looking to make the playoffs for only the second time since the 2002 NFL season. Thursday, I believe they get back to pounding the ball with this punishing tandem, which in turn will open up everything else on this offense.

The Chargers are definitely not a playoff-caliber team, and even though the Raiders haven’t been playing like one either, they are still a better team than the Chargers. Jacobs should have a field day against Los Angeles, going over 100 yards in the game.
